YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU:

Educate students on the fundamental laws of matter and energy through hands-on exploration and real-world applications
Support student mastery of motion, forces, and gravity concepts that form the foundation of physics understanding
Plan and execute dynamic laboratory experiments that supplement and reinforce content mastery
Prepare all students to have the choice to study and excel in any STEM discipline they pursue
Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all learners
Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment while fostering scientific inquiry and collaboration
Create comprehensive assessment strategies that accurately measure student performance and progress
Provide meaningful, constructive feedback that guides students toward deeper understanding
Build and sustain positive relationships with parents and families to support student success
Collaborate effectively with teachers and administrators to ensure comprehensive student achievement
Enforce rigorous safety and security standards for all students, staff, and visitors during lab work
Maintain detailed records including student files, attendance, incident reports, and progress documentation
Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities
Stay current with research, developments, and best practices in high school science education

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (minimum)
NJ Teaching Certificate in Physics (Certificate of Eligibility acceptable)
Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate across lines of difference
Subject matter expertise in physics and related sciences
Team-oriented mindset with high expectations for students
Understanding of adolescent development and learning
